14.3 lb/ft³ → class 77.5 — the dense wire pulled the blend down from the devices' class.

Keep the copper tight and separate

Concentrate the dense wire on its own tight, weight-rated pallets to hold class 60–65 — spools and coils are heavy, so these units weigh out low and don't need height. Band securely; a shifting spool pallet is both a damage and a handling hazard. Keep light boxed devices and fixtures on their own units rather than blending them with wire, where their air drags the dense copper's class up.

For the boxed side, the usual bulky-freight rules apply: master cartons over single retail boxes, full square pallets, molded protection over loose fill for panels and breakers. Given copper's value, price secure or insured handling for wire-heavy shipments deliberately — on a full spool pallet the theft and loss exposure can exceed any rate difference.
