Need volumetric weight and container fit? Use the CBM calculator.

The cubic meter formula

m³ = length (m) × width (m) × height (m)

For shipping you usually want more than raw volume — chargeable weight and container fit. The CBM calculator adds those, and sums multiple items at once.

Frequently asked questions

How do you calculate cubic meters?

Multiply length × width × height with all three in metres. For centimetres, multiply them and divide by 1,000,000. A 100 × 100 × 100 cm box is 1 m³.

How many cubic feet are in a cubic meter?

One cubic meter equals about 35.31 cubic feet. This calculator shows both, plus litres (1 m³ = 1,000 L).

How do I get cubic meters from inches?

Multiply the three dimensions in inches and divide by 61,024 (the number of cubic inches in a cubic meter). Just choose the inch unit above and it converts automatically.
